Our role in LEAD Uganda

  • Empowering refugees and host to increase productivity and production using the block farm method: PALM Corps will secure land for the block farms from landlords and Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
  • Facilitate market linkages using the village agent model: PALM Corps will facilitate enterprise selection by the project participants based on marketability, profitability and suitability in the agro-ecological zone.
  • Promote restoration of degraded landscape: The project team will conduct awareness on the linkages between landscape degradation, climate change and livelihoods using community meeting and radio spots and talk shows to enable them understand contribution of human activities to climate change.
