Grapes of New Hope (GNH) is a registered refugee-led, non-profit community-based organization founded in December 2021 in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Uganda. GNH is committed to empowering vulnerable populations, including adolescents, youth, single mothers, and children at risk, by enhancing their socio-economic potential. Through livelihood programs, vocational training, life skills development, and community-based interventions, GNH fosters resilience, self-reliance, and meaningful participation. By working closely with local and international partners, GNH aims to create sustainable solutions that improve the livelihoods and well-being of refugees and host communities.
Grapes of New Hope (GNH) has successfully implemented various livelihood and empowerment programs in Nakivale Refugee Settlement. GNH has provided vocational training, life skills development, and business support to refugees and host communities, benefiting over 729 youth (378 female, 351 male), single mothers, and vulnerable groups. Through partnerships with local stakeholders, we have facilitated resilience-building, financial literacy, and community-based initiatives. GNH has also conducted monitoring and evaluation of social impact programs, ensuring accountability and effectiveness in service delivery. Our experience in grassroots development has positioned us as a key player in refugee empowerment and economic sustainability.
As a partner organization in LEAD Uganda, Grapes of New Hope (GNH) plays a key role in supporting refugee and host community livelihoods through skills development, resilience-building, and economic empowerment programs. GNH leads vocational training initiatives, financial literacy programs, and small business support for youth and single mothers. We also facilitate capacity-building workshops for community groups, empowering them to form savings and business cooperatives. Additionally, GNH supports monitoring and evaluation efforts, ensuring program impact assessment, data collection, and reporting align with project goals. Through collaboration with stakeholders, we enhance community participation, foster self-reliance, and promote long-term sustainability for vulnerable populations in Nakivale Refugee Settlement.
