Official launch of the LEAD Uganda project

The beginning of an ambitious five-year journey

We are excited to officially launch the LEAD Uganda project in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs

This event marks the beginning of an ambitious five-year journey to empower refugees and host communities in Uganda. The launch will feature key speakers from Woord en Daad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives from the government, local partners, and donors, to celebrate this milestone and highlight the goals of the project and how we plan to create lasting, positive change.

The program will feature:

  • Opening session: Welcome remarks and an overview of the LEAD project’s goals, outcomes, and scope, including findings from baseline and gender studies.
  • Keynote address: “Maintaining Momentum on Localization: Sustaining Investments, Innovations, and Gains.”
  • Panel discussion: Perspectives from INGOs, CSOs, government, and donors on strengthening refugee support.
  • Speeches from key stakeholders: Including Woord en Daad, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government, and the Dutch Embassy in Uganda.
  • Official launch ceremony: Plaque signing and photography to commemorate this special day.
  • Networking lunch: A chance to connect with stakeholders and partners working towards refugee empowerment.
